The Charity are honoured to have provided a lifesaving defibrillator to the wonderful, brave and courageous Elissa.
The defibrillator was proudly handed over from Alison to Elissa
Elissas puppy "Enzo" detected a pericardial tumour in October 2021. Due to a long history of respiratory illnesses and cardiac arrests dating back to childhood, the problematic scarring on Elissa's heart and lungs has caused her tumours to spread and a condition called tachycardia. Elissa's puppy has since had his own puppy, Anubis, and together they monitor her tumours and heart rate. Her adopted sons also undertook mini medic training over the Summer - but there's always the panic of "what if" the dogs alert to a problem, and there's not a defibrillator nearby? This portable defibrillator will make a huge difference to Elissa's family and the memories they are able to make in such an uncertain time. Elissa once said to me "I saw so much of childhood self in Tommy, he didn't let anything or anyone define him or stop him from doing the things he loved, and his smile I try to carry it with me wherever I go no matter what I'm facing. Tommy reminded who I was and how to handle things and be remembered." Elissa adored Tommy and I'm honoured to be able to give her something alongside her memories of his love for life to help her stay strong for her own boys.
The Charity are privileged to support Elissa and will continue to help in any way we can.
Live Strong Elissa from us all

Both whom play vital roles in the supply, use and training of defibrillators. AED Donate went above and beyond in arranging, supplying and installing the defibrillator. It goes without saying that West Midlands Ambulance Service are the frontline in life saving emergency services, they are also leading the way to educate people in the use of defibrillators and Basic Life Support [BLS]
It's the ethos of the Charity to give back to the community in ways that can make a difference, wether that is through simple community coffee mornings, to more serious Basic Life Support training and providing community defibrillators. It symbolises how Tommy lived his life, he cared about everyone
